What Rudolf Steiner Thought about Quackcines

The effect of materialistic medicine

In his reference to an “arymanique force” Steiner is referring to Ahriman, a diabolical entity from ancient Persian mythology who was seen as Lord of the material world. Steiner warned that Ahriman would incarnate in human form in the latter part of the twentieth century; when he would be very active in the realm of modern banking and science.

Today Christians would see Ahriman as Satan.

Ahriman would be the antithesis of Christ, Steiner warned, insofar as he wanted to lock man entirely in the physical realm. In contrast to Christ who sought to liberate mankind spiritually.

That’s why Ahriman would be especially active in the fields of banking and scientific materialism, two areas of human activity where his influence is particularly strong. Through his influence in these fields Ahriman would be able to deny humanity its spiritual birthright on the pretext of “health” and “science”.

My comment: Hmm, health, banking and science. Those have been very much in the forefront as of late. These are issues which have profound impact on human freedom.

Wikipedia: Rudolf Steiner was an Austrian occultist, social reformer, architect, esotericist, and claimed clairvoyant. Steiner gained initial recognition at the end of the nineteenth century as a literary critic and published works including The Philosophy of Freedom. At the beginning of the twentieth century he founded an esoteric spiritual movement, anthroposophy, with roots in German idealist philosophy and theosophy. The Waldorf Schools are based on Rudolf Steiner’s work.

Steiner has some interesting views on quackcines. He provides some alternative views on what is perceived as infectious disease and why it may occur.

The 1917 Dornach Lectures

In these 14 lectures, given at the end of 1917 following four years of war in Europe, Steiner speaks on the complex spiritual forces behind the Great War, humanity’s attempts to build theoretically perfect social orders, and the many divisions and disruptions that would continue to occur on earth in our time.

These lectures given at Dornach, Switzerland in September and October of 1917, are from the lecture series entitled: The Spiritual Background of the External World

There may be some translation issues, but the core ideas are found in a few quotes as follows:

The soul will be made non-existent with the aid of a drug. Taking a ‘sound point of view’, people will invent a vaccine to influence the organism as early as possible, preferably as soon as it is born, so that this human body never even gets the idea that there is a soul and a spirit.

The two philosophies of life will be in complete opposition. One movement will need to reflect how concepts and ideas may be developed to meet the reality of soul and spirit. The others, the heirs of modern materialism, will look for the vaccine to make the body ‘healthy’, that is, makes its constitution such that this body no longer talks of such rubbish as soul and spirit, but takes a ‘sound’ view of the forces which live in engines and in chemistry and let planets and suns arise from nebulae in the cosmos. Materialistic physicians will be asked to drive the souls out of humanity.

I have told you that the spirits of darkness are going to inspire their human hosts, in whom they will be dwelling, to find a vaccine that will drive all inclination towards spirituality out of people’s souls when they are still very young, and this will happen in a roundabout way through the living body. Today, bodies are vaccinated against one thing and another; in future, children will be vaccinated with a substance which it will certainly be possible to produce, and this will make them immune, so that they do not develop foolish inclinations connected with spiritual life — ‘foolish’ here, of course, in the eyes of materialists.

An interesting article on Covid-19 inspired by Anthroposophy

Some highlights:

• the origin of Covid-19 is likely due to the debasing of the general astral field of the area (and many of the inhabitants themselves) due to suffering animals. Massive factory farming in China has been degrading the quality of life for animals for a while now.

• the virus, itself, does not pass on the condition — it just goes along for the ride

• the condition is passed on via human astral body to astral body connections, or even just through the general astral field whenever enough compromise builds up.

• Those who consume mass meat and eggs, or any food containing suffering animal energy, are the ones most likely to contract the condition — or at least to get the worst cases of it.

• Another key element in the reincarnational arena is that a person who is an outright materialist in his or her thinking in one life will be more susceptible to contracting infectious diseases the next life.

For those who are dubious about the term astral body, replace that with quantum field or field of consciousness. Now does it sound plausible?

What if there are spiritual, quantum/consciousness issues that will affect us? We are only in the early stages or learning what the effect of the mRNA gene therapies do to the physical body. What if the consequences go beyond the physical and we have no idea what they will be?

It is clear there are issues with the quackcines on the level of physical health. There are also the social, political, economic and personal rights issues. One of the major issues I see is psychological in terms of depending on the state for one’s health. We are likely to continue to have major societal issues until a large number of people take this as their own responsibility. There is a phrase, “pay the farmer now, or pay the doctor later.” To get out of the mess we are in, more people have to shift from paying the doctor to paying the farmer.

When will the tide turn? There is a concept in Hinduism called the Kali Yuga which could be described as an Age, like the Bronze Age. Perhaps we are at the bottom of the cycle of materialism and what we are living in is the dark before the dawn.
