So to recap, the peoples taxes paid for R& D on these quackzines, which went to the original manufacturers (and the NIH/NIAID, CDC, FDA, etc...)
The peoples taxes paid the government contracts to purchase the quackzines.
The peoples taxes paid for the administration of the quackzines.
The peoples taxes paid to setup the courts & so-called independent organizations to hear the cases of adverse injury caused by the quackzines.
The peoples taxes paid for the payouts to those injured by the quackzines

That one REALLY pisses me off (see the Smith-Mundt Act... the US government literally made a law that allows propaganda, hence why we've been flooded with it lately. Yeah, we paid for that too!)
